The K8 is a small discrete alarming ratemeter capable of detecting even very small amounts of radiation and radioactive materials. The green LED indicates the presence of radiation. A red LED and audible alarm indicate high-level radiation. The red LED and audible alarm threshold is preset to 5 mrem/hr but can also be custom set per special request. Does not record or display cumulative dose.
